Micah Martin just fired off his loudest statement yet. Firstly, out now, his new single ‘Burn Them All’ with OddKidOut hits like a heavy rock record and moves like a bass drop. Additionally, it pairs guitar riffs and jump-up drum & bass with Martin’s aggressive screamed vocals. Furthermore, it will detonate any festival stage. Notably, it also drops as the first taste of his 17-track debut album ‘All I Need’, due November 20. In addition, OddKidOut and Shawn Mayer of pop-metalcore band Melrose Avenue (Hopeless Records) co-produced the single. Crucially, the track sits at the intersection Micah Martin has spent a decade building. That means the biggest names in electronic bass on one side, and the punk-rock and metal worlds he came up in on the other.
Martin frames the collab bluntly. “This track just screams attitude. It’s the perfect blend of heavy guitar riffs & jump-up DNB. If the movie Fight Club was made today, this track would definitely be in it. It was an absolute honor working with OddKidOut and Shawn Mayer from Melrose Avenue on this track. I feel we all captured the essence of rock and roll with modern drum and bass,” he shared. Meanwhile, he calls the record itself equally direct: “It’s chaotic, it’s intentional, and it’s the most honest body of work I have ever made.”
Few artists move credibly between rock and bass. However, Micah Martin has turned that rare dual fluency into his signature. Indeed, it also anchors a Rocktronic sound he helped pioneer. Notably, ‘All I Need’ carries that duality across the whole record. Moreover, additional collaborations span Flux Pavilion, HIGHSOCIETY and more.
