With friends like Post Malone and Morgan Wallen, look no further for some help having a good time.
The duo unveiled their long-awaited collaboration, “I Had Some Help” on Friday (May 10), less than a month after they debuted the track during Wallen’s headlining spot at the country music festival, Stagecoach. Post Malone previously teased the uptempo track on social media, highlighting bar-ready lyrics such as “I had some help/ It ain’t like I can make this kind of mess all by myself/ Don’t act like you ain’t help me pull that bottle off the shelf … they say teamwork makes the dream work.”
Rumors of a Post Malone country album have been swirling for a while, especially since November’s CMA Awards, both the “Sunflower” singer and Wallen were joined by Hardy to honor the late Joe Diffie with renditions of “John Deere Greene” and “Pickup Man.”
“Country record is coming. I keep singing a song that we made while I was in Nashville. It’s so f–king sick, but it’s not out,” Post confirmed during the awards show’s Twitch livestream.
He’s also recently posted covers of songs by Sturgill Simpson (“You Can Have the Crown“), paid tribute to late country icon Toby Keith, shared pics of him hanging with Combs in the studio and teased a snippet of a tear-in-yer-beer acoustic ballad called “Missing You Like This.”
