First Simu Liu, now Netflix.

The streaming service is defending Jennifer Lopez after the actress was awkwardly asked about her and Ben Affleck’s marriage during her “Atlas” press tour.

Lopez shut down a reporter in Mexico when questioned about their relationship amid divorce rumors while in Mexico.

“You know better than that,” she said in response.

Co-star Liu also chimed in at the time.

“OK, we’re not doing that,” the 35-year-old “Barbie” star interjected. “Thank you so much guys, really appreciate it. C’mon. Don’t come in here with that energy, please.”

The pair were joined by fellow “Atlas” actor Sterling K. Brown at the time of the incident.

“The reason why I’m here and the reason why Sterling was in this beautiful movie is because Jen cares,” Liu gushed at the press conference.

“Jen cares about things like representation and diversity,” he continued. “She’s a boss and she’s an incredible creative and an icon and that’s what I think we should celebrate her for today.”

According to TMZ, the topic of Affleck was also banned before the press tour kicked off.

Lopez and Affleck, 51, have been facing split rumors for weeks. He did not attend Lopez’s Hollywood and Mexico City film premieres, he jokingly covered his ring hand hand under his sweater when he stepped out in LA on Wednesday and the pair have been living separately.

“If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would,” a source told Page Six, noting that the actor has reportedly “come to his senses” about their relationship. “He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.”

On May 16, they were spotted in public together for the first time in 47 days. They arrived separately at an event for one of their kids in Los Angeles, but they both had their wedding rings on.

The couple were initially together from 2002 to 2004. They ended their first engagement in 2004, and went on to marry and have kids with other people, before rekindling their flame in 2021.

They tied the knot at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas in July 2022. Affleck shares kids Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, 52, who he split from in 2015 after 10 years of marriage. Lopez, for her part, is mom to 16-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
