The best NFL MVP bet in recent memory is sold, and the dream is fulfilled.

An NFL bettor placed a 100/1 wager in July on Brock Purdy to win MVP, and there was some uncertainty around Purdy at the time following offseason elbow surgery.

Now, Purdy is the MVP favorite entering the Week 16.

The bettor had to debate whether to sell his ticket or risk it all for a $202,000 payout, and the individual decided to sell his ticket to PropSwap for $125,000, per Darren Rovell.

PropSwap is a marketplace where you can buy and sell bets.

The seller still gets a massive sum, and the purchaser is essentially wagering on Purdy to win MVP at -162, which is a bit better than the current best odds on the market, -200, on Bet365 and FanDuel.

As Rovell reported, PropSwap negotiated a three percent fee for the sale worth $3,750.

The bettor may have strategically sold this bet at the right time, though.

The 49ers are set for a date with the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas Day and San Francisco is a 5.5-point favorite on BetMGM Sportsbook.

It will be a tough matchup for Purdy as the Ravens’ defense is among the best in the NFL, ranking No. 2 in FTN’s defensive DVOA rankings.

Non-coincidentally, Lamar Jackson is second in NFL MVP odds with the expectation that if the Ravens upset San Francisco on “Monday Night Football,” his odds would skyrocket to win the MVP award.

Currently, Jackson sits at +500 on FanDuel, with a big performance and win on primetime Christmas night worth a massive amount of real estate when it comes to MVP votes.

Betting on the NFL?

Perhaps the seller of this ticket is truly afraid of Jackson or maybe just happy to go from 100/1 to -162, good for a ridiculous Return On Investment of 6,250.00 percent.

A wild win where the bettor can just sit and enjoy Monday’s games instead of stress about the vaunted Baltimore defense making life tough for Purdy.
