Peter in Lehigh Valley is a sports talk radio caller who knows how to multi-task.
The apparent law enforcement officer was calling into 94 WIP’s midday show with Hugh Douglas and Joe Giglio to deliver an impassioned rant about despising the Cowboys with every fiber of his being, when duty called and he had to pull someone over mid-call.
“I have never hated anything more than I hate the Dallas Cowboys. Ever,” Peter began his rant.
“The only game I look forward to any year, 365 days, all four major sports, is the Dallas-Eagles game in Philly. We need to bring this back.”
The police officer continued to explain
“I hate the Cowboys! Everyone who loves the Eagles should hate the Cowboys! Hate them. Despise them. Including the players. Sirianni’s a motivator. He’s about the culture. He needs to bring that back! He’s gotta get the team up, the players up, to hate the Cowboys. Hit them in the face. Knee them in the glory-holes, as Jerry [Jones] would say.”
As Peter was saying, “You’ve got to get that culture back, you’ve got to get them…” sirens went off, and he offered an apology.
“Sorry, I’m pulling someone over,” he said.
He then proceeded to continue his Cowboys rant.
“You’ve gotta get that back, this is not just a game!” he said.
“This could be the division! This could be home field advantage for the playoffs — or not.”
Philadelphia sports talk radio callers are a different breed.
