In a sweet gesture to his wife, he sported custom-made loafers which featured a joint cypher of an interlocked B and E (for Beatrice and Edo) which form a Bee (Beatrice’s nickname) and her coronet on top, according to X’s @Remisagoodboy.
Royal fans loved the couple’s looks and took to social media to sing their praises.
One user wrote on Instagram: “Classy, very very nice!” while another one added: “Ok but can we talk about how chic Edoardo always is?”
A third one said: “Class act right there,” with a fourth one commenting: “Both the princess and her husband look wonderful.”
A fifth one agreed: “OBSESSED! She looks fantastic!!!”
The event was attended by several celebrities including former Made in Chelsea stars Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo as well as Lord Edward Spencer Churchill and Lexi Bowes-Lyon.
Starlight is a children’s charity that campaigns for children’s play in healthcare and supports them to “experience the power of play to boost their well-being and resilience during illness”.
The glittering event was described as an “unforgettable evening” on the charity’s website and promised “superb food by celebrity chefs”.
The funds raised from the event will go towards the charity’s hospital play and distraction services.
