Robert Saleh was understandably pumped up after the Jets knocked off the undefeated Eagles on Sunday at MetLife Stadium, but there’s one thing about that day he regrets.

While referencing the six quarterbacks the Jets (3-3) have faced this season during his postgame press conference, Saleh said: “We’ve played a gauntlet of quarterbacks. And I know we haven’t gotten all wins, but we’ve embarrassed all of them.”

The Jets coach expressed a degree of remorse for those words — which stretched the truth — during an appearance Tuesday on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football.”

“The word ‘embarrassed’ was probably not the right choice of words for me at that time, but there’s a lot of faith in our defense and [defensive coordinator] Jeff Ulbrich and how good a job he and the defensive staff do in terms of preparing guys every week and just doing everything we can to make quarterbacks’ lives hell,” Saleh said on the show.

While the Jets certainly made life hard on Jalen Hurts, intercepting him three times, they had no answers for another NFC East quarterback, Dallas’ Dak Prescott, during a 30-10 loss in Week 2.

Prescott was 31-for-38 with 255 yards, two touchdowns and zero turnovers in that game, while only getting sacked once.

In a Week 1 overtime win over the Bills, after losing Aaron Rodgers on the first offensive series, Jordan Whitehead intercepted Josh Allen three times. Allen also lost a fumble and was sacked five times.

Mac Jones was 15-for-29 with 201 yards, one touchdown and zero turnovers, while avoiding getting sacked in the Patriots’ Week 3 win over the Jets.

The Jets did limit Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes in Week 4, holding him to 203 yards passing and one touchdown while grabbing two interceptions.

Russell Wilson was 20-for-31 with 196 yards, two touchdowns and a huge lost fumble that was returned for a touchdown by Bryce Hall, sealing the Jets’ win over the Broncos with 29 seconds left.

Saleh’s comments after Sunday’s game set off the NBC Sports Philadelphia studio crew, with host Michael Barkann declaring: “I can’t stand that guy.”
