Splice has added four new Spitfire Audio Originals libraries while upgrading 17 existing Originals. The new additions are available now as standalone purchases and through the Splice Instrument subscription. Recorded at AIR Studios’ Lyndhurst Hall and Spitfire Studios, the libraries expand the Originals range with orchestral textures, solo instruments and experimental sounds.
Four New Originals Libraries
Emotional Cello, created with London-based cellist Reinoud Ford, includes 11 playing techniques ranging from flautando to circular bowing and no-rosin textures. Intimate Brass features a quartet of tuba, euphonium, tenor trombone and flugelhorn, while Intimate Woodwinds includes bassoon, bass clarinet, clarinet, alto flute and flute, designed for softer orchestral arrangements. Crystal Keys is based on the Titanium Euphone, an instrument made from chromatically tuned glass rods. It is now available natively in Splice Instrument after previously being exclusive to Kontakt Full.
Existing Libraries Receive Upgrade
Alongside the new releases, Splice has now updated 17 existing Originals libraries with full microphone signals, redesigned interfaces, complete preset lists and a mixer. Existing owners can access the upgraded versions at no additional cost.
The four new Originals libraries are available as perpetual purchases for £29/$29/€29 each, while the full Originals collection is included with the Splice Instrument subscription, priced at $12.99 per month.
