Jess Glynne’s decade-old anthem dominates TikTok’s global and US charts, alongside viral revivals from Kesha, Radiohead, and more.

TikTok has unveiled its official Songs of the Summer 2025 list, showcasing the tracks that defined this year’s global soundtrack. Leading the charge both worldwide and in the US is Jess Glynne’s Hold My Hand, the 2015 dance-pop anthem that roared back into relevance thanks to its association with the viral “Jet2holidays” trend.

The track has been used in more than 9 million videos and racked up 80 billion views, soundtracking everything from travel fails to proposals gone wrong. Even celebrities like Jeff Goldblum and Mariah Carey joined the fun. Glynne herself shared her excitement, saying the song “has always been about connection” and watching it take on “a whole new life” on TikTok has been surreal.

Yet, Hold My Hand wasn’t the only throwback to resurface. Black Eyed Peas’ Rock That Body landed at #2 globally, while Connie Francis’ 1960 hit Pretty Little Baby unexpectedly broke into the top five thanks to a wave of wholesome family and pet content. Meanwhile, newer names also thrived—PinkPantheress’ Illegal sparked the viral handshake trend and claimed a spot on Billboard’s Hot 100.

In the US, the top 10 showed even greater diversity. Jeezy and Akon’s Soul Survivor earned second place, bolstered by the “Holy Airball” trend, while Radiohead’s Let Down reemerged as a fan-favorite for emotional storytelling. Viral newcomers PLUTO and YKNIECE also stormed the charts with their explosive Whim Whamiee.

Tracy Gardner, TikTok’s Global Head of Music Business Development, emphasized that the list proves “any artist, from anywhere in the world, can find an audience on TikTok among our community of over a billion music fans.”

From decade-defining classics to brand-new discoveries, TikTok continues to prove its role as the heartbeat of global music culture.
