The first look at Yolanda Kettle as Princess Diana in an upcoming play about her notorious 1995 “Panorama” interview is here.
The 35-year-old actress looks just like the late Princess of Wales in photos released Wednesday from “The Interview,” which will debut at London’s Park Theatre at the end of the month.
Kettle donned a nearly identical blazer and skirt that Diana wore to speak with disgraced journalist Martin Bashir.
Tibu Fortes, 33, will portray Bashir.
Kettle is not new to acting in the life of the royals. She previously appeared on Netflix’s “The Crown” as the wife of inventor Jeremy Fry.
“The Interview” is described as giving “an insight into the story behind the interview: the woman who gave it, the man who made it happen and the institution that broadcast it.”
However, playwright Jonathan Maitland previously revealed that the play will only include “substantial chunks” of the interview for copyright reasons — and out of respect for Prince William.
Diana’s eldest son demanded a boycott of the interview in 2021 after an investigation by UK Supreme Court Justice Lord Dyson found that the BBC had covered up Bashir’s “deceitful behavior” as he apparently faked documents to earn Diana’s trust.
“The things that led to the famous interview and the events that came after it revealed much about our country and its institutions,” Maitland told the Daily Mail about the historic conversation.
“It’s definitely the stuff of drama and I can’t wait to see our superb cast and brilliant director Michael Fentiman bring it all to life.”
The Post has contacted reps for Prince William, as well as Prince Harry, for comment.
Part 1 of the series finale of “The Crown” is set to premiere on Nov. 16, and Part 2 will premiere on Dec. 14.
