Most of the medical call-outs involved cuts, grazes, and alcohol-related issues. Zurich’s emergency service, Schutz und Rettung Zürich, had already scaled up its operation for the event, deploying 400 additional staff, six first-aid stations along the route, 13 extra ambulances, emergency physicians, the fire department, civil defense, and support boats on Lake Zurich. The heatwave that hit Switzerland over the weekend added an extra layer of pressure on medical teams.
The arrests covered a mix of charges, including theft, drug trafficking, assault, and breaches of the Foreign Nationals and Integration Act. Reports of altercations, assaults, and bodily harm rose during the evening and overnight hours, though no attendees sustained serious injuries according to the official press release.
Drug seizures gave a snapshot of what circulated at the event. Zurich city police confiscated just over 50 grams of amphetamine, more than 40 grams of ketamine, around 20 grams of cocaine, and over 100 ecstasy tablets. The figures track with the wider substance-use picture reported at other major European electronic music events this summer.
