The Warriors just got some clarity. Defqon.1 refunds and full 2027 ticket rollover options have officially been confirmed by Q-dance, in a follow-up to the sudden cancellation of the 2026 edition last week. The organisation has now emailed all main buyers with next-step instructions, and published a dedicated refund FAQ on defqon1.com.
Defqon.1: Full refund or 2027 rollover – the Q-dance plan for 2026 ticket holders
For those who missed the earlier news, the 2026 edition of Defqon.1 was fully cancelled following an unprecedented KNMI code-red heat warning. The decision — initially a Friday/Saturday restriction limiting attendance to weekend visitors — escalated to a full cancellation as the safety picture became untenable, sparking chaotic scenes on the campsite and an emotional community response across social media.
Under the new refund plan, visitors who purchased their tickets through the official Q-dance shop have two options: they can either keep their Defqon.1 tickets for the 2027 edition, or receive a full refund. Q-dance has also published a detailed FAQ covering ticket refunds, Travel & Stay products, camping, weekend packages and merchandise pre-orders.
“Warriors — although this year’s journey came to an unexpected end, our commitment to the tribe hasn’t changed,” the organisers wrote in their post. “Thank you once again for your patience, your understanding and the incredible support we’ve received from our community. The story of Defqon.1 2026 came to an unexpected end. We hope we’ll write the next chapter together in 2027. Forever One Tribe.”
