Legendary meets contemporary. Armin van Buuren has just teamed up with fast-rising melodic techno producer Silver Panda on ‘Here In My Arms (Enjoy The Silence)’, a driving melodic techno rework of Depeche Mode’s iconic 1990 classic. The single takes the emotional weight of the original and pushes it firmly into modern festival territory, with atmospheric production and rhythms built for both mainstages and after-dark dancefloors.

A modern melodic techno rework of a synth-pop classic

Depeche Mode’s original ‘Enjoy The Silence’, written by Martin Gore and released in February 1990, remains one of the most influential electronic records ever made. It won Best British Single at the 1991 Brit Awards and became one of the defining sounds of an entire era. That legacy hangs heavy over any reinterpretation, and yet Armin van Buuren and Silver Panda honour the source material while giving it entirely new energy. It feels less like a straight cover and more like a modern club-ready reimagining, all propulsive drums, moody synths and cinematic pads.

The track has already been road-tested at some of the biggest stages on Earth, with the pair dropping it in sets at EDC, Ultra Miami, Stade de France and Ushuaïa Ibiza. It arrives in a red-hot phase for Armin, who recently unveiled his ‘No Mercy’ collab with Adam Beyer, played a paninis-included breakfast b2b with Enrico Sangiuliano at Kappa FuturFestival, and released his vinyl-only classic trance set from UNVRS Ibiza.

‘Here In My Arms (Enjoy The Silence)’ is streaming now via Armin van Buuren’s official channels. Enjoy the (loud) silence.
