Electronic musician and software developer Kieran Foster, known to many as Illformed and Dblue, has passed away at the age of 47. Best known as the creator of the influential Glitch plugin and its successor Glitch2, Foster left a lasting mark on electronic music production through tools that became staples in countless producers’ workflows. As a tribute to his legacy, Foster’s sister Joni, with the support of his friends and collaborators Taktik and Beatslaughter, has made Illformed Glitch2 available as freeware.
