What’s happening at Native Instruments UK?
The news first surfaced on Reddit, with a post claiming that InMusic had “fired the whole Native Instruments UK office.” In a statement to MusicTech, the company confirmed that organisational changes are taking place. “As part of the ongoing integration of Native Instruments into the inMusic family of brands, we are simplifying our organisational and legal structure, including Native Instruments UK,” InMusic said. The company added that the changes include removing layers created to support Native Instruments’ previous private-equity ownership model and streamlining other areas of the business. “We recognise the impact these changes have on affected employees and are committed to supporting them throughout the transition,” InMusic said.
InMusic reaffirms commitment to NI
The company also said that Native Instruments remains “a strategically important part of inMusic” and that its commitment to the brand is unchanged. “Product development continues at a strong pace, with major new hardware and software initiatives already underway for 2027 and beyond,” InMusic added.
Furthermore, InMusic has posted new roles on its careers page, including lead product manager and other positions based in the UK and US. The reported restructuring follows the 100 layoffs at Native Instruments reported in July, another change to the company just months after its acquisition by InMusic.
