Alesso has officially delivered his return. The Swedish DJ played his first proper hometown show in over 10 years on Saturday, 27th June at The One, Skansen in Stockholm. As we previously covered, the Swedish star spent days reflecting on what coming back home meant after a decade away — and the set he delivered honoured every moment of that build-up.

The Swedish DJ opened with his own ‘The One’ (Intro Edit) from his Body Hi alias, before flowing straight into the timeless Calvin Harris & Alesso ft. Hurts classic ‘Under Control’. From there he stitched together a mashup of ‘Under Control’ with Sentinel and SICK INDIVIDUALS’ ‘Upside Down’, and a personal mashup of his own Stupidisco rework with Florida Georgia Line and Watt’s ‘Let Me Go’.

A Stockholm tracklist packed with crowd moments

The Swedish producer leaned hard into his catalogue’s biggest crossover moments. He played his Nate Smith collaboration ‘I Like It’ in the Alesso x Sentinel VIP, followed by his Zara Larsson cut ‘Words’, his own classic ‘Cool’ with Roy English, the SACHA collaboration ‘Destiny’, and a mashup of Darude’s ‘Sandstorm’ with Gala’s ‘Freed From Desire’ and Cat Dealers’ ‘Big Black’.

One of the unmistakable highlights was the Swedish DJ’s own remix of Anyma, Argy & Son Of Son’s ‘Voices In My Head’ — a track of the moment in the wider scene. He also dropped Becky Hill collaboration ‘Surrender’ in a John Alto remix, his Pendulum collaboration ‘FADE’, and the Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso & Ryan Tedder vs. Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa mashup of ‘Calling vs. Scared To Be Lonely’.

The Swedish producer also leaned into nostalgia with The Prodigy‘s ‘Funky Shit’ and ‘Smack My Bitch Up’ in Alesso remixes, his own Nadia Ali, Starkillers & Alex Kenji remix of ‘Pressure’, his Dirty South rework of ‘City Of Dreams’ with Ruben Haze, and the iconic Eric Prydz & HILLS remix of ‘Call On Me’.

He closed with another stack of mashups including Avicii’s ‘Without You’ vs Sentinel’s ‘Only You’ in a JAYBEE Mashup, Martin Garrix & Matisse & Sadko’s ‘Butterflies’ vs his own ‘Remedy’, Sebastian Ingrosso, Tommy Trash & John Martin’s ‘Reload’ vs Justin Bieber & Nicki Minaj’s ‘Beauty And A Beat’, and the David Guetta, Alesso & Madison Love vs Tove Lo mashup of ‘Never Going Home Tonight’ vs ‘Heroes (We Could Be)’. The night ended with the Swedish star’s beloved ‘In Your Eyes’ with OneRepublic. Watch a recap below.
