Fatboy Slim celebrates 40 years with huge extended Coachella set

Fatboy Slim will return to Coachella this April, taking over the festival’s Quasar Stage for a special extended headline set on April 12 during Weekend 1.

The performance will unfold on one of the festival’s most unique stages. Unlike traditional festival slots, the Quasar Stage allows artists to play extended two-to-three-hour sets inside an immersive LED environment. As a result, the format gives performers the freedom to explore deeper musical journeys and longer transitions. For a DJ known for high-energy, crowd-driven performances, the setting perfectly suits Fatboy Slim’s dynamic style. Moreover, fans around the world will be able to watch the entire set live through Coachella’s official YouTube livestream.

Before arriving in the desert, Fatboy Slim, also known as Norman Cook, will warm up with two U.S. club shows. He will perform on April 10 at Silo in Dallas and April 11 at The Concourse Project in Austin, giving American fans an early taste of the upcoming festival appearance.

A decades-long Coachella connection

At the same time, this return continues a long relationship between Fatboy Slim and Coachella. The DJ first appeared during the festival’s early years and later delivered memorable performances including his 2008 Sahara tent headline set, the 2014 ‘Eat Sleep Rave Repeat’ audiovisual show, and a celebrated appearance in the Yuma tent in 2022. His 2026 performance will mark his fifth appearance at the iconic California festival.

Meanwhile, the veteran artist continues to celebrate an extraordinary career. After marking 40 years in show business in 2025, Fatboy Slim still performs more than 100 shows per year, moving effortlessly between major festival stages and intimate club nights across the globe.

‘Satisfaction Skank’ finally arrives

Alongside the upcoming shows, Fatboy Slim recently released ‘Satisfaction Skank’, a long-awaited mashup blending his classic ‘Rockafeller Skank’ with The Rolling Stones’ ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’. The track originally emerged in his DJ sets more than 25 years ago, quickly becoming a fan-favorite bootleg across dancefloors worldwide.

Now, after decades of unofficial circulation, the remix has received an official release with the approval of The Rolling Stones, who even supplied the original master recordings for the project.
