Tiësto has officially confirmed an exclusive 2-hour trance set at Dreamstate Australia 2027. The Dutch icon will play two dates Down Under, taking over Sydney Showground on Saturday 6th February and Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne on Sunday 7th February as the headline trance act.
Crucially, the booking is being framed as history in the making. Tiësto‘s return to a full 2-hour trance set is the moment Australian trance fans have been waiting on for years. As a result, the demand is already sitting at boil-over levels even before the on-sale window opens.
Notably, the booking continues Tiësto‘s declared trance return. The Dutch superstar has openly told fans across 2026 that he is going back to the trance sound that built his career, confirming a new trance album in interviews and dropping classics back into his sets across the recent EDC Las Vegas run.
Furthermore, the partnership puts Insomniac‘s flagship trance brand on the calendar Down Under in style. Dreamstate has been one of the most loyal global homes of modern trance, and adding Tiësto at the top of the bill for the Australian leg reframes the entire 2027 season.
Equally, the rollout moves fast. The pre-sale opens at 12pm on Thursday 18th June, with on-sale at 12pm on Friday 19th June. Indeed, given how quickly Tiësto‘s headline announcements have moved in 2026, fans are being urged to lock in early.
Still, the bigger picture is the journey. Tiësto‘s trance arc has now stretched from his foundational 2000s-era ASOT moments to the booth at UNVRS Ibiza, the European tour announcements and a confirmed new trance album. In short, Dreamstate Australia 2027 just became one of the most-anticipated trance events of the next year.
